Worldwide Moment Launceston: On 10/10/10 @ 9.10pm take a photo of ANYTHING. The details: Worldwide Moment (WWM) is an annual photography event which began in 2007 as a way of promoting peace through the global community by the annual creation of synchronised works of art. WWM asks participants to take a photograph at a predetermined time and then email it to them for inclusion on an online gallery. 2010’s ‘worldwide moment’ is on Sunday 10th October at 10.10am GMT which corresponds to 9.10pm the same day in Launceston. With the complete support of WWM founder Brett Brownell, this year we will be running WWM in Launceston as a community based project. Coinciding with WWM proper, we are asking residents and visitors to Launceston to take a photograph at 9.10pm Sunday 10th October and email them to us. We will then upload these photographs to our own online gallery as well as the official WWM gallery. The project will culminate with all of the Launceston photographs submitted printed and exhibited in early 2011. As Brett states, ‘whether young or old, amateur or professional, film or digital, Polaroid or camera phone, this is for everyone.’
